Automating palletizing can make your operations safer and more profitable. Whether you’re stacking a full layer or individual boxes, bags, pails or drums, FANUC’s palletizing cobots and robots offer a fast, steady, and reliable automated solution. Our extensive offerings provide many options in terms of size, payload, speeds for cycle time and precision and most importantly, care in handling your products.
Palletizing cobots and robots offer a smaller footprint, saving you the cost per foot in a manufacturing facility. Plus, our solutions can be creatively and flexibly installed in tight spaces.
Versatile end of arm tooling can handle multiple types of containers at a time, regardless of their shape and/or material including cases, bags, pails, bottles, batteries, cubes of scrap metal, and plastic containers.
Cobot and robot palletizing solutions can easily accommodate different pallet patterns and product types. They have the ability to handle one or more units at a time and can form multiple layers on a pallet after picking the products off of a conveyor.
Palletizing cobots and robots can be programmed to handle multiple infeeds of different SKUs on the same line. Vision systems can be used to send information to the robot so it can pick and place different SKUs on different pallets.
Palletizing industrial robots can handle up to a 700kg payload. Depending on the type of robot and the application, an industrial palletizing robot can handle up to 30 cases per minute.
To select the correct automated palletizing solution, consider payload, reach, duty, cycle time and floor space. Don’t forget the weight of your end of arm tool, dressout and product when selecting the desired payload range.
FANUC offers the widest range of palletizing cobots and robots:
FANUC offers several software packages to help you automate your palletizing solution quickly and easily.
Building custom pallets has never been easier with FANUC’s PalletTool software. Once product dimensions are entered, PalletTool provides a list of possible pallet patterns as well as the space efficiency for each pattern.
When the pallet pattern is selected, all information about the pattern, including the product weight, total number of layers, pallet/infeed retreat, approach distances, and gripper information, are saved within the unit load created. This enables the operator to easily switch between products either at startup or while the system is already running just by changing the current unit load.
Operators can create and modify unit loads directly from the Tablet TP with FANUC’s PalletTool Turbo software using the newly updated user interface via PalletTool® 3. This new software package unlocks the ability to modify systems quickly and easily on the floor without needing a PC.
The PalletTool Turbo II package is designed to reduce the setup of robotic palletizing applications pertaining to cases or bags with a software bundle which includes PalletTool 4D. Our simulation software, PalletPRO, is also included in this package and allows for offline programming and creation of unit loads which can then be downloaded to the robot controller.
PalletTool Turbo Lite Pkg provides a subset of functions supported in the PalletTool Turbo II Pkg. This subset of functions provides an ideal order configuration that is available for CRX Collaborative robots only. It includes all functions necessary for effective palletizing including our simulation software, PalletPRO, for offline programming and unit load creation. For CR Collaborative and non-Collaborative robots, use the PalletTool Turbo II Pkg.
PalletPRO simulation software can be used to completely build and prove out a palletizing application on a PC. PalletPRO can create a complete work cell layout, including infeed and pallet stations, slip sheet and pallet dispensers. Hundreds of unit load pallet configurations can be created and visualized in 3D using PalletPRO’s built-in library of industry standard patterns. The data created in PalletPRO can be downloaded to a FANUC controller containing PalletTool software.

Rapid growth and retiring employees prompted Zippy Ice to consider using automation for its ice packaging operations. They turned to MMCI Automation, a FANUC Authorized System Integrator, to provide an automated solution to palletize bags of ice.
Increasing growth prompted FloraCraft to innovate its manual packaging lines. They partnered with Brenton, (ProMach product brand) a leader in designing and manufacturing integrated end of line packaging systems to automate its processing and packaging lines.

ROBOGUIDE is FANUC’s offline programming product that allows users to quickly and easily create, program and simulate a robotic workcell in 3D without the physical need and expense of a prototype workcell setup. Investing in robotic solutions, or any capital equipment is a decision no company – big or small – takes lightly. We’re here to help. When our team creates a virtual robot workcell simulating your process using your parts, you can easily visualize your system, see your productivity increase, and minimize risk prior to your purchase decision. Our cycle time analysis in ROBOGUIDE is proven to be 99% accurate.
Given the current product dimensions, PalletTool will provide a list of possible pallet patterns to choose from giving the space efficiency for each pattern. The selected pallet pattern as well as the product weight, the total number of layers, pallet/infeed retreat, and approach distances, and gripper information are all saved within the unit load created. This allows you to easily switch between products either at startup or while the system is already running just by changing the current unit load. PalletPRO simulation software can be used to completely build, debug and test a palletizing application offline/virtually. PalletPRO allows users to create a workcell layout, infeed and pallet stations, slip sheet and pallet dispensers. Hundreds of unit load pallet configurations can be created and visualized in 3D using PalletPRO’s built-in library of industry standard patterns. The data created in PalletPRO can be downloaded to a FANUC robot controller containing PalletTool® software.
