FANUC CR-Series Collaborative Robot Operations & Programming

Course Overview

This course is intended for an operator, technician, engineer or programmer who must set up, teach, test, and modify a CR-Series or CRX-Series robot.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student can identify the different types of collaborative operations and how they can be/will be achieved with FANUC products as well as meet the RIA/ISO standards for collaborative operation. More specifically:

  • Understand the 4 types of collaborative operation.
  • Understand which FANUC products can be used in each type of collaborative operation.
  • Power up and jog a CR-Series and CRX-Series robot.
  • Set and use contact stop limits.
  • Investigate collaborative robot monitor.
  • Create a Cartesian Position Check and set up Safe I/O Connect as a means of identifying when and where a payload change can safely occur.  
  • Teach and run a collaborative application.
  • Investigate, enable, and use the Collaborative Robot Functions and Utilities; Retreat after Contact Stop, Push to Escape, Auto Resume, High Speed Mode, and Variable Payload Compensation.
  • Create and execute a Periodical Check.
  • Control LEDs through Collaborative Robot signal states and setup the Double Tap Function.

This course consists of content descriptions and examples, interactive modules, and lesson reviews designed to reinforce what the student has learned. A post-test is used to measure the student’s mastery of the objectives.
