At this year’s show, FANUC is displaying a wide range of CRX collaborative robots designed to simplify and elevate welding automation. From the nimble CRX-10iA/L to the high-payload CRX-30iA, FANUC’s CRX family supports MIG, TIG, plasma, and laser welding. With intuitive hand guidance, drag-and-drop programming, and quick redeployment, CRX cobots are ideal for high-mix, low-volume production environments—adapting quickly to part changeovers while delivering high-quality welds.

Live demonstrations in the FANUC Main Booth include a CRX-10iA/L mounted on a 7th axis rail with a G2 positioner, showcasing how cobots can deliver precise, multi-station arc welding in a compact, collaborative setup—welding at one station while a human operator loads the second. Product displays will also highlight cutting and precision assembly, emphasizing how FANUC cobots adapt to changing workflows while maintaining consistent, high-quality results. With IP67-rated durability, mobile mounting options, and no required safety guarding for many applications, they’re built for flexibility and floor space efficiency. Additionally, advanced features like iRVision®, Torch Angle Control, Touch Sensing, and Thru Arc Seam Tracking (TAST) make FANUC cobots a powerful solution for both new and experienced users in automated welding.

Triple Arm Coordinated Flexible Multi-Arm Welding Cell

Featuring heavy-duty M-950/500F-28A and two Arc Mate/25-18D welding robots
Debuting at FABTECH 2025, our dynamic Flexible Multi-Arm Welding Cell, featuring the heavy-duty M-950/500F-28A and two Arc Mate/25-18D welding robots, simulates the precise handling and welding of an excavator bucket using synchronized, multi-robot motion. Watch the M-950/500F-28A maneuver the bucket while the Arc Mate robots perform replicated welds—showcasing the flexibility of coordination motion and strength of FANUC’s latest robotic technology. With integrated R-50iA control, Lincoln Electric weld equipment, and a dramatic “robotic dance” that highlights the system’s agility, this is a must-see for anyone exploring the future of manufacturing.

Flexible Robotic Wet Machining

Featuring FANUC M-800/60-20B industrial robot
In this wet machining demonstration, FANUC’s high-precision M-800/60-20B industrial robot will mill and drill aluminum stock using a variety of tools and accommodating various mounting positions. Built to withstand harsh elements like water and debris, this 6-axis model, known for its rigidity and accuracy, offers a larger work envelope compared to similarly priced CNC machines. Additionally, its adaptability makes it suitable for repurposing across various applications.

Paint Robots and Cobots

Featuring FANUC CRX-10iA/L Paint Cobot and CRX-20iA/L Cobot
In this demonstration, FANUC will use two cobots, visual identification and advanced line tracking to identify, load, paint and unload electric guitar bodies. Using a CRX-10iA/L Paint Cobot with FANUC 3DV camera and iRVision, the system will visually track and simulate painting of the guitar bodies. Meanwhile, a CRX-20iA/L Cobot will leverage a fixed FANUC 3DV iRVision sensor and iRPickTool software in showcasing its impressive reach and line tracking capability to load and unload guitar bodies from a conveyor to a rack.
