What are the benefits of the ROBODRILL Recertification Program?

Following completion of the recertification process, your legacy ROBODRILL will meet the original machine tool alignments, squareness, cutting performance, reliability, positioning, repeatability and efficiency as new. FANUC only uses OEM replacement parts during the recertification process to ensure factory quality is delivered. After the ROBODRILL Recertification process, your machine will meet the same specifications the ROBODRILL met initially.

All mechanical and electrical work performed as part of the FANUC ROBODRILL Recertification process will be warranted by the FANUC America Corporation for one year.

What happens during the ROBODRILL Recertification Program?

FANUC America will perform a detailed work scope on each area of the machine. During the Recertification Process, we will:

Perform a complete technical review of the machine information.
Verify the ROBODRILL is in complete working order as part of the machine inspection.
Disassemble and clean the ROBODRILL removing oil, grit, and chips.
Replace the spindle cartridge with a new OEM spindle that matches the existing spindle.
Remove and replace all X and Y-axis guideways with new OEM guideways.
Remove and replace the X, Y and Z-axis ballscrews with new OEM ballscrews.
Inspect and replace each tool pocket and tool grippers with new OEM grippers as necessary.
Remove, clean, flush, inspect for damage and replace any solid lubrication lines as necessary.
Clean, flush and replace coolant and air blast lines as necessary.
Recertify the FANUC CNC control system, axis and spindle motors and drives with the latest updates.
Realign the spindle, X, Y and Z-axis to meet the original machine alignments.
