Course Code: iRVision-3DAS/3DVSCourse Overview: This course is intended for an operator, technician, engineer or programmer who must setup and/or troubleshoot FANUC iRVision 3DA/3DV Sensor processes and related tools. The course covers initial setup, setup of 3DA/3DV Sensor processes and tools, interference avoidance, the parts list manager, bin picking MACRO programs, and bin picking KAREL programs. Testing will take place after each step in reaching a successful fixed frame or bin picking process.Course Objectives: Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to create, setup, and test all that is necessary for using a 3D Area Sensor or 3D Vision Sensor to locate and generate robot compensation for part handling. This is to also include the setup and testing of interference avoidance and a means of categorizing work pieces to be picked through the parts list manager when bin picking.Students successfully completing this course will be able to:-Identify specific details related to a 3D Area Sensor and 3D Vision Sensor-Properly install both a 3D Area Sensor and 3D Vision Sensor-Setup and prepare both a 3D Area Sensor and 3D Vision Sensor for a Vision Process-Identify how to Create and Execute an Automatic Re-Calculation of a Mounting Position-Investigate and test 3D Tools to be used along with a 3DV Single-View Vision Process-Successfully complete setup and test a 3DV Stitching Vision Process (FOV Expansion).-Successfully complete setup and test a 3DV Stitching Vision Process (Interpolation).-Successfully complete setup and test interference (System) data, (Robot) data, and (Condition) data-Successfully complete setup and test a new Parts List Manager and Parts List-Identify KAREL programs and argument of Interference Avoidance, the Parts List Manager, and the Parts ListIn addition to presentations and demonstrations, this course offers a series of lab exercises for the student to complete. Lab exercises relate directly to the classroom presentations and are intended to reinforce what the student has learned through actual hands-on experience. Recommended safety procedures are integrated into all training exercises.Audience: This course is intended for the person who must set up, program, and troubleshoot an iRVision – 3D Area Sensor or 3D Vision Sensor system using a FANUC Robot equipped with iRVision that has successfully completed iRVision 2D training.Prerequisites: Completion of a live, FANUC instructor-led Operation and Programming course (such as HandlingTool, ArcTool, SpotTool) and either a live FANUC instructor-led iRVision Operations and Programming-2D course or successful completion of the online “2D Opt-Out exam”. Please note: Completion of an online eLearn Operation and Programming course will not meet this Operation and Programming prerequisite.Students who have attended a class more than two years in the past are required to pass a preparatory test prior to attending the class.We reserve the right to cancel or modify classes at any time.
