M-2000iA Robot Mechanical Maintenance

Course Description: This hands on course provides the detailed instruction and procedures necessary for the complete disassembly, inspection, repair and reassembly of the FANUC America Robot M-2000iA/1200/900L Mechanical unit. Please note that students will perform disassembly on an M-900 mechanical unit.
Course Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student can perform disassembly, mechanical repair, test and adjustment of the robot mechanical unit. More specifically:
-Diagnose robot mechanical problems
-Review mechanical components on the robot
-Perform adjustments on the robot
-Perform periodic maintenance on the mechanical unit
Recommended safety procedures are integrated into all training exercises. In addition to presentations and demonstrations, this course offers a series of lab exercises for the student to complete. Lab exercises relate directly to the classroom presentation and are intended to reinforce what the student has learned through actual hands-on experience.
Audience: This course is recommended for mechanical maintenance technicians or other persons responsible for mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance and repair.
Prerequisites: Previous experience or training in a related field involving mechanical disassembly, repair, and assembly of robots or machine tools.
Each student will be required to acknowledge and sign our Lab Rigging Safety Policy, to acknowledge the safety requirements for each Mechanical Disassembly/Reassembly class. Anyone not willing to sign this policy, will not be permitted to participate in any lab, or hands on exercises.
