Story
United Grinding is the North American support arm for Walter Grinders. The oldest machines from Walter had DOS-based controls, which were upgraded years ago to Windows 7. Components were no longer being manufactured for those controls, so upgrading to Windows 10 to allow for IoT connectivity became impossible. Plus, these controls were much slower.
United Grinding began offering their customers the FANUC Paneli Replacement Program. The upgrade allows customers to take advantage of the increased processing speed as well as boost their cybersecurity.
The customers’ are loving it. We're not just upgrading one machine into the plant. We're upgrading them all.
