A servo welding positioner manipulates and positions a workpiece during robotic welding and other automated processes. FANUC servo positioners use the same servo motors found in FANUC robots to provide precise and reliable workpiece movement. 

“Weld positioner” describes the positioner’s use in a welding application, while FANUC’s products are identified as servo positioners because they use servo motors for controlled workpiece manipulation. FANUC servo positioners are particularly suited to arc welding applications that require accurate, high-speed motion.

A 1-axis positioner controls workpiece movement around one axis, while a 2-axis positioner provides movement around two axes for additional degrees of freedom. FANUC offers 1-axis models with payload capacities from 500 to 9,000 kg and a 2-axis model with a 500 kg payload capacity.
