SCEP (Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol)
Automated Secure Certificate Lifecycle Management
When SCEP Client (S610) is installed, it is possible to create an internal server certificate signed by CA by inquiring through a SCEP server. The internal server certificate can then be used in encrypted communications, such as HTTPS server. It is also possible to extend the expiry dates of X.509 certificates, delete revoked X.509 certificates by checking Certificate Revocation List (CRL), and renew the internal server certificate, through the SCEP server.
