COURSE # TRCNC30-351 - 3 days
Price: $2,220
Description:
5-axis machining offers many advantages compared to conventional 3-axis machining: decreased fixturing; increased accuracy and surface quality; increased tool life; and reduced cycle time to name a few. This milling course explains advanced machining functions used for 3+1 (4-axis) and 3+2 (5-axis) indexing, full 5-axis simultaneous machining, high-performance machining and high-quality surface finishes.
The FANUC America 5 axis milling class is meant as an introduction to FANUC America’s 5 axis programming.
Students will learn 5 axis milling concepts and the latest FANUC America control options functionality.
This training will focus on the setup and utilization of a 5 axis rotary trunnion table.
Guest partner speakers will explain products and services related to 5 axis milling applications. (Partners for programming, work holding, etc.)
Upon completion of the course students will understand 5 axis equipment setup, programming, and 3rd party equipment and software needed to machine a 5 axis part.
This course does not include a machining demonstration.
Course Benefits:
After the course, students will be familiar with the operation screens, understand multi-axis index and 5-axis compensation functions and know how to use advanced functions to make better parts.
Prerequisites:
Successful completion of G-Code Programming & Operation or FANUC Setup, Programming & Machining.
Who Should Attend:
Anyone who uses or supports 4- and 5-axis machining: machining, programming, maintenance and application support personnel.
Attendees must be legal United States residents.
We reserve the right to cancel or modify classes at any time.
