HandlingTool Operations & Programming

This elearn is intended for the person who must set up and record a program on a robot with a HandlingTool application software package. This module will provide one learner with 12 month access. Note: This elearn does not qualify as a prerequisite for any FANUC Academy in-person class.

Prerequisites: Students must be able to log into the Academy URL while in class, to access learning materials.

The course is estimated to take 19 hours to complete. Books and software are not offered with this learning module.

Course Objectives:

• Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
• Power up and jog the robot
• Define Cartesian Coordinate Frames
• Recover from common program and robot faults
• Execute production operations
• Create, modify and execute a material handling program
• Create and use position offsets
• Create and execute MACROs
• Monitor, force and simulate input and output signals
• Backup and restore individual programs and files

This course consists of definitions, descriptions and examples, interactive modules, and lesson reviews designed to reinforce what the student has learned. A post-test is used to measure the student’s mastery of the objectives.

Note: An online HandlingTool Opt-Out Test is available. The successful passing of the HandlingTool opt-out will qualify a student for advanced courses that have the Operations and Programming prerequisite. This option can take the place of the "Live" instructor-led HandlingTool class prerequisite.
