Featured Demonstration: CRX 30iA Mobile Manipulator with AMR Palletizing

New for MODEX 2026 is FANUC’s CRX‑30iA mobile manipulator demonstrating palletizing with a fully integrated robotic Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) system engineered for warehouse, fulfillment and distribution environments. This solution tackles palletizing and transport tasks traditionally prone to ergonomic strain while delivering high throughput.

The system uses AI driven perception, box locating vision, payload estimation and barcode based decision logic to adapt to varying product types and pallet conditions. A smart safety architecture enables high speed operation when the area is clear, and automatically slows when workers approach — supporting safe, fenceless collaboration.

Technologies included are:

  • A robot‑mounted 3DV/400 sensor for box locating
  • CRX‑30iA palletizing from quarter pallets
  • Payload estimation and compensation for flexible handling
  • The AMR transporting multiple boxes at once and building full pallets
  • iRVision barcode scanning for routing, sorting, and verification
  • Full repalletizing and depalletizing sequences (quarter pallet to full pallet)
  • AI‑assisted perception for dynamic box recognition, accurate positioning, and adaptive palletizing logic
