MH Gripper Option
Structures Gripper or End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT) Controls
FANUC MH Gripper Option allows users to define grippers as configurable devices within the robot system, rather than handling them as basic I/O. This means open/close actions, sensor feedback, and states are organized into a clear framework, making programs easier to read and maintain.
It manages gripper control signals such as open, close, and intermediate positions, while also monitoring feedback signals like part present, fully open, or fully closed. This improves reliability by ensuring the robot can confirm whether a part is securely gripped before moving.
The MH Gripper Option also supports multiple grippers or multi-zone tooling, allowing the robot to handle different parts or perform complex pick-and-place operations with a single end effector. Each gripper can be controlled independently within the same program.
Additionally, it enhances error handling and diagnostics by standardizing gripper status and fault conditions. If a gripper fails to actuate or a part is not detected, the system can respond more intelligently, reducing downtime and improving safety.
