ArcTool Operations & Programming

This 5-day (40 hours) course covers the tasks that an operator, technician, engineer or programmer needs to setup, record and/or troubleshoot programs on a FANUC Robot using Arctool Software.

Target Audience: Virtual training is not for everyone. Students must have a high degree of comfort with learning in a virtual environment which includes completing exercises using Roboguide. This course is intended for the person who must set up and record a program on a robot with a Arctool application software package.

Prerequisites: Students are required to install an external app (Cornerstone) and complete preparatory work, that your instructor will send out to you. A computer connected to the internet and the ability to receive mail delivery of a paper manual. Two monitors and headphones with a microphone. Course Objectives:

• Power up and jog the robot
• Define Cartesian Coordinate Frames
• Recover from common program and robot faults
• Execute production operations
• Create, modify and execute a material handling program
• Create and use position offsets
• Create and execute MACROs
• Utilize weld procedures
• Utilize weld process schedules
• Utilize ramping
• Monitor, force and simulate input and output signals
• Backup and restore individual programs and files

The course consists of lectures, chapter reviews, demonstrations, and a series of lab exercises designed to reinforce what the student has learned. In addition to lab exercises, a pre-test and a post-test are used to measure mastery of objectives.
