iRVision 2D Guidance

FANUC iRVision 2D Guidance is an integrated vision solution that enables FANUC robots to locate and guide to parts using 2D color and grayscale cameras connected directly to the robot controller. By identifying part position and orientation using Geometric Pattern Matching or other processes, the robot can automatically adjust its motion to pick, place, or process parts without precise fixturing.
Because iRVision 2D Guidance is fully embedded in the FANUC controller, processing and robot motion are coordinated with no external PC. This simplifies system architecture and improves reliability.
iRVision 2D Guidance is commonly used for applications such as pick‑and‑place, machine tending, part loading, palletizing, and vision‑guided assembly where parts are planar or presented with limited height variation.
