Dual Check Safety R-50iA Controller

This 3-day (24 hours) course covers the tasks that a technician, programmer or engineer would need to setup and use FANUC's Dual Check Safety (DCS) software. This class is specific to robots with version 10 and newer software.

Target Audience: This course is intended for the person who must set up or operate a FANUC robot (R-50iA V10.10 or newer) with DCS software installed.

Prerequisites: Completion of a live, FANUC instructor-led Operation and Programming course (such as HandlingTool, ArcTool, or SpotTool). Completion of an online eLearn Operation and Programming course will not meet this Operation and Programming prerequisite. Students who have attended a class more than four years in the past are required to pass a preparatory test prior to attending the class. Students must be able to log into the Academy URL while in class, to access learning materials.

Course Objectives: Students successfully completing this course will be able to:

• Understand the DCS menus
• Setup and modify DCS General parameters
• Setup and modify DCS Position/Speed Check parameters
• Create user models and DCS frames
• Setup and modify DCS Safe I/O parameters

This course consists of lectures, chapter reviews, demonstrations, and a series of lab exercises designed to reinforce what the student has learned. In addition to lab exercises, a pre-test and a post-test are used to measure mastery of objectives.

Dress Code: Appropriate business casual attire is required to attend any class at all FANUC training facilities. No shorts, leggings, tank tops, or open-toe shoes are permitted.

PPE: is not required for this class.
