SR-Series (SCARA) Robot Operations and Maintenance

This 5-day (40 Hours) course covers tasks that an operator, technician, engineer or programmer needs to setup, edit programs, perform routine maintenance on an SR-Series Robot, and/or troubleshoot an R-30iB Compact Plus Controller.

Target Audience: This course is intended for the person who must set up and record a program, perform maintenance, and/troubleshoot on an SR-Series Robot.

Prerequisites: Students must be able to log into the Academy URL while in class, to access learning materials.

Course Objectives: Students successfully completing this course will be able to:

• Power up and jog the robot
• Teach Frames
• Recover from common program and robot faults
• Execute production operations
• Learn and understand iRProgrammer
• Create, modify and execute a material handling program
• Create and modify DCS Joint Position Checks
• Monitor, force and simulate input and output signals
• Backup and restore individual programs and files
• Maintenance and repair of the SR-series robot
• Maintenance the ball-screw spline on the SR-series robot
• Troubleshoot and repair the R30iB Compact Plus controller
• Mastering of the SR-series robot
• Recommended safety procedures are integrated into all training exercises.

The course consists of lectures, chapter reviews, demonstrations, and a series of lab exercises designed to reinforce what the student has learned. In addition to lab exercises, a pre-test and a post-test are used to measure mastery of objectives.

Dress Code: Appropriate business casual attire is required to attend any class at all FANUC training facilities. No shorts, leggings, tank tops, or open-toe shoes are permitted.

PPE: Is not required for this class.
