iRVision Operation and Programming R-50iA 2D

This 3-day (24 hours) course covers the 2D iRVision Operations intermixed with the tasks required in setting up a 2D iRVision process, testing, and running the 2D iRVision processes in the robot teach pendant programs. Recommended safety procedures are integrated into all training exercises.

Target Audience: This course is intended for an operator, technician, engineer or programmer who must setup, teach, test, and modify 2D iRVision applications and processes on an R-50iA Robot Controller.

Prerequisites: Completion of a live, FANUC instructor-led Operation and Programming course (such as HandlingTool, SpotTool, ArcTool, or DispenseTool), although an understanding of Advanced TPP Programming would be preferred. Students must be able to log into the Academy URL while in class, to access learning materials. Students who have attended a class more than four years in the past are required to pass a preparatory test prior to attending the class.

Course Objectives: Students successfully completing this course will be able to:

• View and/or change robot and computer parameters to facilitate access to the robot's web page
• Understand 2D iRVision concepts
• Set up vision equipment
• Set up communication between the robot and a Teaching PC
• Understand how to perform a camera setup and calibration
• Understand vision commands within a Teach Pendant program and how to use them
• Troubleshoot vision equipment, processes and programs

This course offers a series of lab exercises for the student to complete. Lab exercises relate directly to the classroom presentations and are intended to reinforce what the student has learned through actual hands-on experience.

Dress Code: Appropriate business casual attire is required to attend any class at all FANUC training facilities. No shorts, leggings, tank tops, or open-toe shoes are permitted.

PPE: Is not required for this class.
